The fairy-tale lake at Khao Sok (know as Chiew Lan Lake), measuring 165 square km, is a thrill under-water as well as on land. Once submerged its easy to believe you are suspended in an enchanted forest surounded by stunning rock formations, stalactites and stalacmites.

After a few meters descent, the water becomes crystal clear and the temperature drops to 27c. What’s down there are enormous flooded trees, huge stalactites hugging the submerged limestone cliffs, underwater caves, and curious catfish and other varieties.

With nitrox, you can descend to the Thai temples and villages submerged at the bottom of the lake and a fantastic area which is home to a submerged forest.
